Arthur Cuppage was born in Orillia, Ontario, on September 8th, 1892.

The son of Alexander and Kathleen Cuppage, Arthur was raised at Silverwood, an estate now on the Orillia Campus of Lakehead University.

The Cuppage family was from Northern Ireland and Arthur's ancestry included soldiers who fought with the Bengal Lancers.

Tragically, Arthur died on June 2nd, 1916, one in a number of Orillians who fell that week during the Battle for Mount Sorrel.
