Belgium - Sanctuary Wood Cemetery, Ieper

Located 5km East of Ieper town, the cemetery is reached via Canadalaan, which is 3km along the N8 Meenseweg, Ieper - Menen road, and is the resting place of four 4CMR men.

Sanctuary Wood Cemetery is close to the Hill 62 Memorial and the Hill 62 and Sanctaury Wood Museum. Of the 1,989 servicemen buried or commemorated here, 1,353 remain unidentifed.

Despite its proximity to the bustle at the Museum, this is a peaceful cememtery, with good views from its back wall of Sanctuary Wood itself and the surrounding fields across to Maple Copse Cemetery.
